Turkey Day 5k Info

What a ride the first two years have been in putting on this race! We are stoked to have as many as participants as we have had - 500 in the inaugural year and 850 in the second year. We are the first to acknowledge that some growing pains have been more noticeable than we wanted them to be, but we promise we are learning from these pains and that the race will be better each year as we put it on. We have had phenomenal support from great participants, sponsors, volunteers, the City and County of Broomfield, and of course, both Anthem communities. Its an honor to be able to provide this race for the residents and Thanksgiving visitors of Broomfield and surrounding areas.

We had a lot of fun this year adding unique prize categories, a family division and a separate dedicated kids race. The weather has been superb the first 2 years and the times have been fast (of course it helps to have some elite runners come out to compete and really set some fast marks)! Because times have been so fast, we will have the course certified for this next year to prove to all the participants that each year the course has been 3.1 miles on the nose. :) Should we have a 10k this year as well? Who knows, but it is definitely in the future plans. The course has already been identified and it rocks!
