Swim Info:

  1. Bullet    The swim takes place at the Parkside Community Center outdoor lap pool.

  2. Bullet    There will be no diving for the start of the swim.  You will be in the water and the timer will tell each individual when to start.

  3. Bullet    There will be 4 people in each lane swimming in a circle (down on the right side of the lane, back on the left).  If you need to pass someone, tap their foot and wait until the end of the lane.  The person who gets their foot tapped will wait at the wall until you pass.

  4. Bullet   There is no passing in the middle of the lane, there is no stopping to rest in the lane, and there is no standing at the shallow end of the pool unless you are exiting the pool as you finish.

  5. Bullet    There will be counters at each lane to count your number of laps and they will let you know when you have finished your last lap with a tap on the head.

Bike Info:

  1. Bullet    The bike course is 2 laps along a police-monitored route on Highway 7, Sheridan, and Lowell.

  2. Bullet   In the transition area you can run with your bike, BUT ABSOLUTELY NO RIDING.

  3. Bullet    Helmets must be on prior to exiting the transition area and must remain on until the bike is dismounted.  For a helmet to be considered on, the chinstrap must be buckled.

  4. Bullet    All bar-ends must be solidly plugged on the bike handlebar.

  5. Bullet    There is no drafting on the bike ride.  There has to be at least 3 bike lengths of clear space between you and the bike in front. If you enter that zone, you must pass within 15 seconds.

Run Info:

  1. Bullet      The run course follows the sidewalk trails of the Anthem Ranch neighborhood.

  2. Bullet      As you come out of the transition area, jump onto the sidewalk parallel to Parkside Center Drive.  Make sure to note that the course follows a counter clock-wise direction.  Please see the course map for a more detailed overview.

  3. Bullet    There will be plenty of cones, arrows, and volunteers to guide you along the course.  We’ll try to limit the number of lost runners this year =).
